Ayurvedic Cooking Class – Private

As an introduction, Ayurvedic Nutrition & Cooking Level 1 and Level 2 courses offer students an opportunity to learn the preparation of basic foods used in the Ayurvedic diet.

Dr. Lina instructs you in choosing the correct Indian ingredients and which spices are specifically used for your particular Doshas.

 

Level 1 - Introductory Ayurvedic Cooking Class (1 hour)

This is your introduction to the basics.

Dr. Lina teaches you how to make

  • CCF tea,
  • Ghee, (clarified butter)
  • Khichari (rice & lentils stew)and
  • Chappatis. (Whole wheat Indian Flat Bread)

These are easy to prepare, everyday healing foods to support your transition to an Ayurvedic diet.

Fee:$150/person (includes recipes & cost of food)

Fee : $250/Total (For Couples/ Mother-daughter/partners - $125/person)

 

Level 2 - Introductory Ayurvedic Cooking Class (1 hour)

Continue your exploration of self-healing Indian cuisine to improve your digestion.

Dr. Lina will introduce spices and their role to aid digetion. Learn to prepare

  • Mung Daal Soup, Cumin Rice,
  • One dry vegetable preparation &
  • One vegetable curry preparation.

Fee:$150/person (includes recipes and cost of food)

Fees : $250 Total (For Couples/ Mother-daughter/ partners- $125/person)

 

Discounts on Basics L1 & L2 Both Classes Together:

After completing both classes together, you are all set to prepare WHOLESOME ayurvedic meal.

*Both classes are offered on same day 11am-Noon Class 1 & Noon -1 pm Class 2 and are highly recommended to take together.

Fee - $250 Total/person for both classes (after $50 discount)

Fee - $375 Total for both classes (after $125 discount): For Couples/ Mother-daughter/ partners

 

 

BEYOND BASICS - Explore ayurvedic cooking for Self - Healing!

After Completing Basics in Ayurveda Level 1 & Level 2, you may continue your healing Journey by adding more classes :

*Vegetables - (60 min)

  • Palak Paneer (Paneer cheese with Spinach),
  • Alu -Paratha (Potatoe bread),
  • Stir -Fry Bhindi (Spicy Okra)

* Lentils & Beans : (60 min)

  • Mixed Lentils (Daals),
  • Sprouted Mung Beans (Mung Beans) OR Chana Masala (Chick peas) &
  • Besan Laddo - A wonderful snack or dessert (Sweet Lenils Balls)0

* Ayurevedic Healthy Snacks for Youth (Healthy ayurvedic alternatives to all party foods ): (60 min)

  • Chivda (Spicy Rice Flakes with nuts) -* Very popular snacks amond kids
  • Pav - Bhaji (Mixed Vegetables served with bread) and
  • Batata Vada , a famous indian version of Veg Burger ( Potato patties served with spicy chutney in a bun)

Cost - $165/class/person (Choose any two for $299/class/person)
